The Bosnian-Turkish Cytopathology School was founded in 2016 as a joint initiative of the Turkish Division of the International Academy of Pathology (TDIAP), the Turkish Society for Cytopathology, and the Department of Pathology and Cytology of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (CCUS).

The school was established by Prof. Sitki Tuzlali, Dr. Semir Vranic, and Dr. Faruk Skenderi, and has covered key cytopathology subspecialties — from gynaecological and thyroid cytopathology to lymph node FNAC and lung cytopathology.

Each edition combines didactic lectures, slide seminars, and interactive case discussions led by Turkish, Bosnian, and international faculty.
